The search for boots

Current Mood:

Warning: mostly girl talk--this entry is about shoes :-).

You'd think it would be easy to find black, knee-high, stretch leather, stiletto-type-heel, not-pointy-toe boots (okay the boys reading this entry might think that this is being too particular, but all the girls would understand that this kind of boot should be easy enough to find).

Apparently it's NOT easy. First of all, it's spring. The popular shoe types nowadays are open-toe sandals and flip-flops. It's not the season for boots.

Second of all, even if you COULD find black boots, they would all either be pointy toe or clunky heeled, neither of which look good on me (pointy toes make me look like I've got witch's shoes on, and clunky heeled, well, they don't look as feminine as I would like).

I did, however, finally find a couple of boots, both on eBay. I bought the one on the left (don't worry, this is the only eBay thing I'm getting this pay period :-)).

The ironic thing here is that I already OWN the exact same pair. I call them my Baroness Boots because they remind me so much of the Baroness (you know, on the cartoon series GI Joe). I wear them so often though that I think the boots are starting to lose their shape. At least now I have a spare :-). Besides, it was only $13.85 and that includes shipping. The boot on the right is $34.95, and that's without shipping (and the heel looks awfully high).
