I got my laptop!

Current Mood:

I had a conference call with Manila at around 8:30 am that lasted about an hour or so. That meant I had to leave an hour later to get to work.

But that meeting actually turned out to my benefit because as Steve and I were heading out, guess what we saw.

Yup--the UPS truck! I got my laptop yesterday morning :-D!

I'm very happy with it :-). I've been installing program after program after program--I stayed up 3-4 hours longer than my usual bedtime just installing stuff :-).

Because of the laptop's faster speed than my old desktop, I'm now able to install almost all of the Sims expansion packs . I've got the original Sims, Livin' Large, House Party, Hot Date, Vacation, Unleashed, and Superstar :-). I'm only missing the last one, Makin' Magic :-).

Man oh MAN did the Sims take up a lot of space on my machine--3 GB :-). I don't think I'll install Sims 2 though. I saw the specs for the program. By itself it's 3GB and it needs 256 RAM all on its own to run properly. I think I'll just wait until Steve gets a faster desktop machine that can run it and then we'll try it then :-).
